A symbol of William Kellie Smith prospering with the birth of a son and heir, Smith decided to build the Kellies Castle (just in front of the Kellas House). It is believed to be a gift for his wife or for the birth of his son - Anthony.
A mysterious illness broke out, killing many of Smith's workers.
On a visit to Lisbon, at the age of 56, Smith died of pneumonia.
Stairs to the underground wine cellar.
It was so dark and cooling inside.... I can't even see my fingers......
Stop here cause of fear feeling......haha....
Yann and John is brave !!! They are leading us.....into the empty wine cellar
Too dark....without tripod and flash gun... the picture is a bit disappointed.....sorry
Architecture of the castle.
Bricks and marble were imported from India and some said Italy.
Women !!!!
Interior desidn is still undamaged
Some of the stair case is very narrow and limited.
Despite signs of decay, the castle exudes a certain air of dignity and grandeur. Moving from room to room, one can imagine the rich furnishings that would have filled the stately structure, had it been completed.
Modeling......muahahaha.....
However, after over eighty years, the Malaysian government refurbished the house in 2000. It had been a tourist attraction but now it became an even bigger attraction and easy accessible
